Kenneth J.P. Grohman

	Kenneth J.P. Grohman, age 87, of Granite City, formerly of rural Tamaroa, passed away Monday morning, July 2, 2001 at 3:29 a.m. in the Eden Village Nursing Home in Glen Carbon, Ill.
	Kenneth was born December 1, 1913 in Pinckneyville, the son of Ben L. and Ida H. (Linze) Grohman.  He was united in marriage to Ina Grace Snowden in Pinckneyville on January 16, 1936 and she preceded him in death on February 18, 2001.  Kenneth was employed as a coal miner, was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pinckneyville, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
	Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Jacque Y. DeWitt and husband Kenneth of Granite City, Ill. and Judith Judy Kay Smith and husband Richard of Lakewood, Wash.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eileen yeager of Pinckneyville, Adele Gilley of Pinckneyville and Benaleen Schafale of Belleville.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ina Grace; two brothers, Raymond and Eugene and a sister, Ruth Groskreutz.
	Funeral services were Friday, July 6 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pinckneyville at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Herbert Schafale officiating.  Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Thursday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. and again on 
Friday morning from 8 until 10:30 a.m. then at the church until services.
	 Memorials may be made to the Hoyleton Childrens Home in Hoyleton,, Ill.
